What this is
Three source sets were read line by line: the 115-page ALSBE ATPO application submitted in 2024, the ALSDE AL-PIE pack effective August 2026, and the CAEP accreditation record from October 2024 together with the 2025-2026 UAR workbook. Every requirement found in any of them became a row here, tagged with what we hold, what is missing, and the next move.
It stands in for the AL-PIE Master Submission Checklist, which ALSDE has not yet released. When that arrives, reconcile this against it line by line.
The eight views
- Overview — everything on it is clickable. Numbers, bar segments, workstream rows and status keys all open the items behind them.
- Requirements — the full register. What we hold beside what's missing, with status, owner, target date and notes.
- Standards coverage — 37 requested fields against seven alignment obligations each. The build tracker for matrix work.
- Fields & scope — where the requested fields collide with AL-PIE's structure, with CAEP's accredited scope, and with each other.
- Source inventory — page-level index of the application, file-level index of the AL-PIE pack and the CAEP record, so any claim of "we have that" traces to a page or a filename.
- Documents — the evidence library.
- Submissions — package assembly with the exact ALSDE filenames.
- Save & export — snapshots, CSV, restore, reset.
The seven statuses
GapNothing produced yet. The starting position for anything the 2024 package doesn't cover.
In progressBeing drafted or built right now.
PartialSomething exists but it is incomplete, out of date, or aligned to the wrong standard set.
HeldThe document is in hand and current.
SubmittedFiled with ALSDE and accepted.
BlockedNothing we can do — ALSDE has not issued the template, form or ruling.
N/ADoes not apply to an ATPO, or is not due this cycle. Excluded from the percentages.
A first pass, in order
- Read Fields & scope first. ALSDE's own two program lists disagree on seven requested fields, Geography has no standards section at all, and four bands sit outside CAEP's accredited scope. Every workload estimate downstream depends on settling this.
- Send one email covering everything on the Blocked filter — the matrix template, the pre-visit forms, the review-cycle guidance, and whether checklists apply to an ATPO.
- Ask the CAEP scope question separately: does the accreditation letter carry §IV for the 4-8 and Collaborative Special Education requests, or do those need the compliance narrative?
- Open Requirements filtered to Annual reporting and assign an owner to each October 1 filing. Draft the UAR qualitative answers and ART-1 §I together — they overlap almost entirely, and the CAEP AFI remediation feeds both.
- Use Standards coverage as the build tracker once the field list is confirmed.
Recording progress
- Requirements — click a row to open it. Set status, owner and a target date; notes save as you type.
- Focus queue at the bottom of the overview — change a status inline without opening the register. Filter it to gaps, blocked, in progress or partial.
- Standards coverage — click any cell to advance it one step: Gap → In progress → Partial → Held → Submitted → Blocked → N/A → back to Gap. The status keys above the grid filter it.
Documents and submission packages
The Documents view is the evidence library. Drag files in, tie each to the requirement it satisfies, and set the filename ALSDE expects. Files under the size limit are held inside the app; larger ones — the 115-page application PDF, for instance — are registered by name and location instead, so the package still adds up.
The Submissions view assembles those documents into four packages: annual reporting, application of record, standards alignment and program review. Each line shows the required filename with a copy button, the requirement behind it and its live status, and its own attach slot — drag a file straight onto the line, click Attach file, or Register location for anything too large to hold or already filed elsewhere. Attaching this way names the file to the ALSDE convention and links it to the requirement automatically. You can also pick something already in the library.
Set the EPP name once and every generated filename follows it. Export a manifest as the record of what was filed, when, and from which version — it marks anything still missing as NOT ATTACHED, which is the useful part before a deadline.
This is a staging area, not the filing system. ALSDE submissions still happen in Teams.
Working as a team
The panel at the top left shows which mode you are in. Local only means changes stay in your browser and nobody else sees them. Sign in with your email and open the link that arrives, and the panel turns to Shared · live — from then on every status change, coverage cell, package attachment and uploaded file goes to the shared project, and teammates' changes appear on your screen as they make them, with their name attached.
Edits are recorded per item, so two people working on different requirements never overwrite each other. Two people editing the same field at the same time is still last-write-wins, so split the work by workstream where you can.
Access is controlled by an allowlist in the project, not by having the address of this page. If someone signs in and sees nothing, their email needs adding to alpie_members.
Saving, exporting and offline
Whatever mode you are in, a copy is kept in your browser so the page still works offline and nothing is lost if the connection drops. Use Save & export for a JSON snapshot or a CSV of the register — useful for archiving a point in time, or for handing a record to someone outside the team.
A snapshot carries document records but not the files. In shared mode the files live in the project bucket and are always there; locally they are not, so re-add them after restoring.
The badge in the corner confirms each write and tells you whether it saved for everyone or only in this browser.
What to treat with caution
- Standard counts in the coverage grid and the fields table were read off the AL-PIE standards PDF and are approximate. Confirm against the printed section before they drive staffing or budget.
- ALSDE's FR-2 roster list and its UAR program list do not match. Seven requested fields appear in one and not the other. Which list governs is an open question, not a data-entry error on our side.
- CAEP accredited three programs — Elementary, Secondary and P-12. The 4-8 fields and Collaborative Special Education are outside that scope, so any reliance on the CAEP letter for those bands is untested.
- The pre-visit forms (KA-1, VR-1, PA-1, TPD-1, FE-1, MOA-1, MB-1, ETD-1) appear here as codes only. Their titles are not defined in any document we hold and have not been guessed at.
- The UAR workbook's own embedded Instructions tab is stale — it still describes the 2022-23 cycle. The separate 8-page instructions PDF governs.
- Page references point at the 2024 application PDF as submitted, not at any later revision.
